A flurry of emergency services activity on the scanner late Tuesday morning just before press time included coordinating a Guardian Flight response for a man who had been struck in the head with an ax. 

Law enforcement from multiple agencies responded to a call from the Wind River Reservation reporting a man had been struck in the head with an ax shortly after 11 a.m. According to dispatch and law enforcement communicating via the police scanner,  the victim was not conscious.
