Starting on June 5 and running through August 11, the Eastern Shoshone Tribe Summer Foods program will serve lunch for youth 18 years old and younger at the Fort Washakie Head Start Building, 79 Sacajawea Circle, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. They will be closed on July 3 and 4. 

The White Robe art exhibition, featuring pieces created by artist Brian Whelan about Reverend Doctor John Roberts of the Wind River Reservation, will be at the Lander Pioneer Museum June 5-September 30.

The Wyoming Arts Council is now accepting applications for the Native Art Fellowship, a $3,000 unrestricted award of merit honoring the work of Native artists based in Wyoming. Up to two fellowships will be awarded this year; applications must be submitted online by the end of the day on June 9. Visit to apply.

The 27th Wind River Flywheeler Antique Engine and Tractor Show will be at the

park on the east side of Shoshoni on June 10 and 11. There will be a tractor drive at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and a tractor pull at 1:30 p.m., as well as attractions such as craft vendors, engines and tractors, and a 1913 50 horsepower case steam engine. For kids there is a barrel train, pedal tractors, and a sand box. Food vendors and music (Packin the Mail) will be available for lunch, including Dutch oven cooking. At 1:00 pm, the Flywheelers will be auctioning off John Deere quilts and other items.
