Law enforcement were called to the banks of the Wind River south of Riverton on Sunday after a citizen taking a walk found a deceased man.
The resident had been taking a walk along the river at around 11 a.m. when they made the discovery, according to Fremont County Undersheriff Mike Hutchison. “It was apparent the body had been there for quite some time,” he wrote in a press release. “Preliminary investigation at the scene did not reveal any obvious indications of foul play.”
The death is under investigation by the sheriff’s office and county coroner’s office.
