January 20

• 1:06 p.m. 100 North 3rd at Main Street – Some marijuana was found inside Crux Coffee. A report was taken. 

• 5:13 p.m. Mr. D’s Food Center – A hit-and-run crash was reported in the parking lot. A report was taken. 

• 5:20 p.m. Lander Valley High School – An incident of harassment was reported. The school will handle the issue. 

• 10:22 p.m. 900 South Fourth at Parks Street – A two-vehicle crash was reported at this intersection. There were no injuries. 

January 21

• 11:06 a.m.m 730 East Main Street – A minor fender bender was reported. A report was taken. There were no injuries. 

• 11:48 a.m. 136 East Main Street – Krey Returns To War, 30, Ethete, was arrested for driving while under the influence. 

• 1:47 p.m. 494 Main Street – A semi-truck fire was reported. The Lander Volunteer Fire Department responded. An investigation is underway. 

• 4:48 p.m. 692 Main Street – Sharice Lajuenesse, 31, Riverton, was cited for simple assault.

• 5:34 p.m. Pushroot Court – Pursely Bigknife, 54, Lander, was arrested for public intoxication.

January 22

• 11:28 a.m. 1165 Main Street – Several shoplifting incidents were reported. The suspect has been identified. The incidents are under investigation. 

Fremont County Sheriff’s Office 

• Gilbert A. Demartine, 46, Kinnear, was arrested on two failure to appear county warrants.

• Chad R. Letherwood, 34, Riverton, was arrested for reckless driving and for driving under suspension.

• Ray E. Price, 74, Lander, was arrested for contempt of court.

• Marques Returns To War, 18, Riverton, was arrested for contempt of court and on a bond violation.

• Tuff S. Taylor, 18, Riverton, was arrested on a court ordered. 

January 20

• 7:16 a.m. North Second Street, Lander – A school bus was stuck in a ditch. There was no damage. The children were transferred to another bus. 

• 7:51 a.m. Linda Lee Street, Riverton – A silver 1997 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen.

• 8:23 a.m. East Monroe, Riverton – A truck was entered and gone through. A report was taken. 

• 4:07 p.m. Green Street, Riverton – An abandoned dog was reported.

• 6:52 p.m. Peterson Road and Eight Mile Road – A low-speed collision between a vehicle and a horse was reported. There were about six or seven horses on the road, and all of them took off. The driver went home. The horse that was struck did not appear to be injured. 

January 21

• 3:44 p.m. Paradise Valley Road – A gold colored Pontiac Grand Am rolled over. There were no injuries. 

• 6:11 p.m. 1733 North Federal Blvd. – A shoplifting was reported at Walmart. 

7:35  p.m. South Second Street, Lander – Under Investigation is a report of an elderly male living in poor conditions.

January 22

• 12:58 a.m. 800 block South Federal Boulevard – An assault that allegedly occurred at Cozy Court is under investigation. A man showed up at a business and said there was something wrong with his face. 

• 12:05 p.m. Milepost 62, Wyoming Highway 28 – A report was received of a number of dead animals near Johnny Lee’s Corner.

• 5:49 p.m. Green Street, Riverton – A subject allegedly threw a board through his truck window and that truck struck another. The incident is under investigation. 

• 8:52 p.m. Peterson Road, Riverton – A Suburban crashed into a fence, knocked over one pole. There was damage to the front of the vehicle. A report was taken.

January 20

• 7:58 a.m. Apache Avenue – A wallet with a Social Security card and papers was stolen from an unlocked vehicle and a report was taken.

• 8:55 a.m. 800 block North Federal – A caller wanted a subject removed from their business. An officer contacted a 70-year-old male who had not been drinking and was not causing a disturbance. When advised of this the business manager decided to let him stay on the premises.

• 10:34 a.m. 1200 West Main – A woman filed a harassment complaint against a coworker. A report is pending.

• 11:03 a.m. 400 block South Third East – A tenant was upset because there was no water in the apartment. When officers arrived she decided to go back inside. 

• 11:33 a.m. 400 block East Main Street – A catalytic converter and a four-foot section of exhaust pipe were cut from a vehicle sometime overnight. Replacement estimated at $700. A report was taken.

• 1:09 p.m. 1600 block North Federal – The owner of two dogs was advised about proper shelter and licensing requirements after a call concerning the dogs’ welfare was taken.

• 7:18 p.m. 2001 West Sunset – A fight was reported at Riverton High School. A report is pending. 

• 9:13 p.m. 300 block East Fremont – Officers contacted the driver of a silver Ford Escape who was continuously blowing the vehicle’s horn. The driver was identified as Alejandro Chavez, 19, Lander, who reportedly showed signs of intoxication and failed the field sobriety tests. He was arrested for DWUI.

• 10:32 p.m. 900 block East Washingtonton Avenue – William Ghostbear, 46, Riverton, was arrested for domestic battery for allegedly punching a female in the mouth.

January 21

• 8:19 a.m. 1700 block North Federal – A routine check for warrants on those in a suspiciously reported car revealed that there were two Fremont County arrest warrants for Patricia C’Bearing, 25, Riverton, and she was taken into custody.

• 11:01 a.m. 1100 block West Main Street – Shoes with a value of $131 were stolen and there is a positive ID on the van the suspects were driving. The incident is under investigation.

• 2:52 a.m. 100 block South Federal – An individual has overstayed their rent. A report is pending. 

January 22

• 9:10 a.m. 400 block South Third East – Clayton Bell, 31, Ethete, was contacted and found to have a Riverton city warrant and was arrested.

• 2:51 p.m. 200 block South Third East, alleyway – A red Volkswagen passenger car was struck by a Dodge truck. The truck was found parked with three passengers inside – one of them, Altan Quiver, 24, Riverton, had a Riverton warrant and was taken into custody. The 27-year-old driver of the truck, who had walked off prior to the officer’s arrival, was identified and citations for leaving the scene, no insurance and expired registration have been prepared to be served on him when next contact is made. The collision incurred minor damage to one vehicle with no injuries.
