The Riverton School Board met at the Central Office in Riverton Tuesday night, setting dates for the upcoming hearings regarding the proposed conceal carry policy for district staff. 

Good Sportsmanship awards were presented to several Riverton High School students, an out-of-state travel request was proposed for RHS Cross Country students to travel to Boise next month for the Nike National Cross Country Regional Race, consideration of a administrative recommendation to adopt six new policies on financial matters was on the agenda, along with the abrogation of two existing policies determined not to be needed. Approval of school improvement plans for the middle school, high school, and Frontier Academy were also up for review.

Under information items the board was scheduled to set public forums to hear input on its proposed concealed carry for district staff policy. Those dates are Wednesday, November 2, from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, from 6:15 to 7 p.m., and on Monday, November 14, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.  All meetings would be held at the Central Office board room on North Fifth Street West.
