The Fremont County Commissioners met Tuesday morning at the courthouse in Lander with monthly reports from Sheriff Ryan Lee and Coroner Larry DeGraw on the agenda. The City of Lander is also seeking a letter of support from the commissioners for the Table Mountain Living Community Project. A number of planning issues will also be on discussed including the Wilkinson Subdivision, the vacation of Tract 2 of the Lander Ranchettes Subdivision, the Orchard Hill Subdivision, the Wind Drift Estates Subdivision lots 4 and 5 replat and the Darnall Second Subdivision lots `10 and 11.
The Lander City Council met Tuesday in regular session. With agenda items including amending the job description for the city’s building inspector, exempting 351 Main Street from the Open Container Ordinance on Sept. 9th from 5 to 7 p.m., and approval of the Safe Streets for All Resolution. A bid award for a new three-quarter ton truck for the water department was acted on, an agreement for employer drug testing was presented and an agreement for mental health evaluations with Southwest Counseling of Rock Springs wasl discussed.
The Riverton School Board Tuesday evening took a tour of this summer’s construction projects before their regular meeting at 7 p.m. Agenda items included accepting grants, approving this fall’s school bus routes, and rescinding a contract offer at the request of the recipient. New contracts were offered to Chad Fallin as RHS Head Girls Swim Coach and Derek Watson as RHS Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach.
